I Cannot Believe It

Wow. It's been quite a few days and we still haven't had any kind of response from anyone in our church. Not one. Not even from our Pastor. We have from other people, but not from anyone in the church. Wow.

Is this church sound asleep in the light? Or are they too busy planning the next "friendship evangelism" neighborhood outing....where they rake leaves or whatever in neighbors yards, but don't bother to speak about the Gospel? And what about our Pastor, who says "we have to 'earn' the right to talk to them"...what??!!!?? So, let's rake leaves. Yeah...Scripture says we have to "earn" the right to evangelize. Is he crazy???!!!?? What a satanic inspired load that is.

Isn't it wonderful? Thanks to the Church....people can have nice tidy yards. But if they die that night they will go to hell because no one had the guts to speak the Truth to them. (Oh well, at least it will look good for the after-funeral get-together.)

If they do have another day or another Sunday though... maybe they will come to our church (because we were so nice and raked their leaves), where no one will have the guts to do much more than lead them thru the unscriptural "sinner's prayer", should they show an interest.

Hmmmm....what will they find there to give them an interest? The gospel is not presented in it's entirety, so.....

It's absurd and rebellious.

I guess I know why there has been no response....they are being called to obey Christ's Great Commission....but they would rather rake leaves and be "pleasant".

Is there any church out there that still believes and obeys God's Word? Any that know that our main purpose as followers of Christ is to go and make disciples everywhere? That we are Christ's hands and feet....and what happened in the New Testament, from how Jesus evangelized, to the starting of His Church in Acts, to what Paul, Peter and all the others dedicated their lives to doing as Christ followers....is what we are suppose to be carrying on? Have they read Matthew 28:18-20? Do they think God has changed His mind???

I guess this Christianity is all about "feeling" good and deluding oneself into thinking that's the measure of personal holiness before God. How could He not be pleased with such nice people, raking leaves so that maybe people will think Christians are "nice" and want to be one? Yeah...all that surrendering and evangelizing....that's was for a different time....not for now. Right?

Come to think about it...raking leaves is so much easier.....

Unfortunately...we're suppose to fish....not garden.
